# Google Workspace

Google's paid productivity suite (email, calendar, docs, drive) for organizations. Previously called "Google Apps for Your Domain" and "G Suite".

## Context

Google is shutting down free Google Workspace accounts for custom domain email. Users who signed up for free custom email hosting (me@mydomain.com) must either pay for a plan or migrate by the deadline. Free Gmail addresses (@gmail.com) are unaffected.

## Migration Out

- Export data via [Google Takeout]
- Update domain MX records to point to new provider
- Cancel subscription via Google admin console
